India wrapped up a 3-0 T20I series win over Zimbabwe on Sunday, defeating the hosts by 35 runs in the third and deciding match at Harare Sports Club. Zimbabwe were set 193 to win after India posted 192/5, and were restricted to 157/7 in their 20 overs.

Opener Vaibhav Sooryavanshi led India’s batting with 81 off 49 balls, extending a strong run of form through the series. He had opened the series with a maiden T20I half-century off 18 balls, followed by 20 off 9 balls in the second match.

At 15 years old, Sooryavanshi is now the first batter from a full-member Test nation to score two international fifties before turning 16.

Zimbabwe’s reply was kept in check by India’s bowling attack, led by Mayank Yadav’s 3 for 29. The pace bowler’s spell proved decisive in preventing any late push from the home side.

The 3-0 result in the T20Is follows a matching 3-0 sweep in the ODI series earlier in the tour, giving India a clean sweep across both formats against Zimbabwe.
