Mirzapur: The Movie sells 55,000 tickets ahead of Sept 4 release

Mirzapur: The Movie has sold around 55,000 tickets in advance bookings across national chains as of September 2.

Trade estimates project the film’s opening day collection at Rs 21-26 crore, with a pinpoint prediction of Rs 24 crore net.

With one day left before release, advance sales in national chains are expected to close between 100,000 and 125,000 tickets.

The film brings back the original cast, including Pankaj Tripathi as Kaleen Bhaiya, Ali Fazal as Guddu Pandit and Divyenndu as Munna Bhaiya.

Mirzapur: The Movie is set to release in cinemas on September 4, 2026, directed by Gurmmeet Singh and produced by Excel Entertainment.

Trade analysts caution that advance booking figures are subjective estimates and analytical projections rather than certified collection numbers.

The film’s advance sales are being tracked closely across major national multiplex chains including PVR Inox and Cinepolis ahead of its theatrical debut.

The Mirzapur franchise has built one of the most loyal fan followings among Hindi-language web series since its 2018 debut, a factor trade watchers say is driving the strong advance interest.

Ticket sales for the film have grown steadily in the days leading up to release, climbing from roughly 20,000 tickets in early estimates to 55,000 as of September 2.

The film’s opening-day performance will be closely watched as an indicator of how well established streaming franchises can translate into theatrical box office success.

The film brings back the franchise’s original ensemble, including Kaleen Bhaiya (Pankaj Tripathi), Guddu Pandit (Ali Fazal), and Munna Bhaiya (Divyenndu), alongside new cast additions Ravi Kishan, Sonal Chauhan and Jitendra Kumar.

Mirzapur: The Movie is directed by Gurmmeet Singh and produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani under the Excel Entertainment banner.
