The Railway Recruitment Board has released the admit card for its Group D exam under CEN 09/2025, allowing candidates to download their hall tickets using their registration number and password.

Admit cards for the Computer Based Test on August 3 and 4, 2026 are already available, with candidates appearing on later dates able to download theirs four days before their scheduled slot.

The exam will be held across August 3, 4, 5, 6, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21 and 25, 2026, in three shifts each day.

The recruitment drive is for 22,195 Level-1 vacancies, with close to 87 lakh candidates competing for posts including Track Maintainer Grade IV, Pointsman, Assistant (S&T) and Assistant (TL & AC).

The vacancies span 21 Railway Recruitment Boards nationwide, making this among the largest ongoing government recruitment exercises in India.

Candidates have been advised to bring a printed admit card and a valid original photo ID to the exam centre, since entry will be denied without both documents.

CEN 09/2025 is one of the largest single recruitment notifications issued by Indian Railways in recent years, reflecting the scale of staffing turnover across track maintenance, signalling and technical support roles nationwide.

Candidates can check their allotted exam city and shift timing in advance through the city intimation slip, which the Railway Recruitment Board typically releases a few days before the admit card itself.

The RRB Group D exam, conducted as a Computer Based Test, is held in multiple shifts to accommodate the large number of applicants across the country’s 21 Railway Recruitment Boards.

The 22,195 vacancies span multiple technical and support roles in Indian Railways, reflecting the scale of staffing needs across the network’s maintenance and operations divisions.

Candidates are advised to carry a printed copy of their admit card along with a valid original photo ID to the examination centre, as entry is not permitted without both documents.

UPSC EPFO APFC 2026 notification out for 80 posts, apply from August 22

UPSC has released the EPFO APFC 2026 notification for 80 vacancies, with online applications open from August 22 to September 11 and the exam scheduled for December 20.

The Union Public Service Commission has released the notification for recruitment to 80 posts of Assistant Provident Fund Commissioner in the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation.

Online registration for the UPSC EPFO APFC 2026 recruitment opened on August 22 and will remain open until September 11, 2026.

Eligible candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognised university or equivalent qualification.

The upper age limit is set at 35 years for UR and EWS candidates, 38 years for OBC candidates, and 40 years for SC and ST candidates.

The recruitment exam is scheduled for December 20, 2026, followed by a two-stage selection process comprising a written exam and an interview, with the final merit list based on a 75:25 weightage between the two.

The Assistant Provident Fund Commissioner post is a Group A Gazetted position, carrying Level 10 pay under the 7th Central Pay Commission matrix.

The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation is the statutory body responsible for administering retirement savings and pension schemes for salaried employees across India, operating under the Ministry of Labour and Employment.

Candidates are advised to carefully read the detailed notification on the UPSC website before applying, as it lays out the complete eligibility criteria, exam pattern, and syllabus for the recruitment.

The application fee has been set at a nominal amount, with exemptions provided for SC, ST, PwBD and women candidates, in line with standard UPSC recruitment norms.

This recruitment cycle is separate from the EPFO’s regular Assistant recruitment conducted through the Staff Selection Commission, with APFC being a more senior, directly UPSC-recruited role within the organisation.

Given the position’s gazetted status and pay scale, competition for the 80 available posts is expected to be significant among candidates preparing for central government examinations.

UPSC typically releases the detailed exam pattern and syllabus alongside the notification, giving applicants a clear roadmap for preparation ahead of the December exam date.

RRB NTPC UG CBT 1 result declared, scorecard from August 26

The Railway Recruitment Board has declared the RRB NTPC Undergraduate CBT 1 result for CEN 07/2025, with zone-wise cut-offs released and CBT 2 scheduled for September 17.

The Railway Recruitment Board has declared the RRB NTPC Undergraduate CBT 1 result for CEN 07/2025.

The exam was held between May 7 and June 20, 2026, and results have so far been released zone-wise for regions including Gorakhpur, Siliguri, Bilaspur, Ahmedabad and Muzaffarpur.

Category-wise minimum qualifying marks, before normalisation, are set at 40% for UR and EWS candidates, 30% for OBC and SC candidates, and 25% for ST candidates.

Separate qualifying marks have also been specified for Ex-Servicemen and PwBD categories in the official cut-off document.

Individual scorecards for candidates will be made available from 5 PM on August 26, 2026, through the respective regional RRB websites.

Candidates who qualify in the CBT 1 result will proceed to the second stage Computer-Based Test, CBT 2, which is tentatively scheduled for September 17, 2026.

The undergraduate CEN 07/2025 recruitment drive was conducted for various non-technical popular categories in Indian Railways, drawing a large number of applicants across the country.

Candidates are advised to download their zone-wise result PDF from the official RRB regional website corresponding to the zone they applied under, since results are not consolidated into a single national list.

The CBT 1 stage functions as a screening test, with a significantly larger pool of qualifiers moving on to CBT 2, which carries more weight in the final selection process.

NTPC posts cover a range of non-technical roles across Indian Railways’ zonal divisions, making this one of the most widely watched recruitment cycles for candidates seeking stable government employment.

Candidates who do not find their zone’s result live yet have been advised to keep checking the official RRB websites over the coming days as the remaining zone-wise lists are released.

The Railway Recruitment Board conducts these exams across multiple zones simultaneously, a scale that makes NTPC one of the largest recruitment drives run by any central government body each cycle.
