The Union Public Service Commission has released the notification for recruitment to 80 posts of Assistant Provident Fund Commissioner in the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation.

Online registration for the UPSC EPFO APFC 2026 recruitment opened on August 22 and will remain open until September 11, 2026.

Eligible candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognised university or equivalent qualification.

The upper age limit is set at 35 years for UR and EWS candidates, 38 years for OBC candidates, and 40 years for SC and ST candidates.

The recruitment exam is scheduled for December 20, 2026, followed by a two-stage selection process comprising a written exam and an interview, with the final merit list based on a 75:25 weightage between the two.

The Assistant Provident Fund Commissioner post is a Group A Gazetted position, carrying Level 10 pay under the 7th Central Pay Commission matrix.

The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation is the statutory body responsible for administering retirement savings and pension schemes for salaried employees across India, operating under the Ministry of Labour and Employment.

Candidates are advised to carefully read the detailed notification on the UPSC website before applying, as it lays out the complete eligibility criteria, exam pattern, and syllabus for the recruitment.

The application fee has been set at a nominal amount, with exemptions provided for SC, ST, PwBD and women candidates, in line with standard UPSC recruitment norms.

The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences has released the NEET PG 2026 admit card today.

Candidates can download the hall ticket by logging in at nbe.edu.in using their user ID and password.

The NEET PG 2026 exam will be held on August 30 in a single shift, across 340 cities and more than 1,300 examination centres nationwide.

The hall ticket carries the candidate’s name, category, date of birth, application ID, allotted exam centre details and photograph, all of which candidates are advised to verify carefully after downloading.

NBE has asked candidates to take multiple printouts of the hall ticket to carry to the exam centre, along with a valid photo ID, since entry is not permitted without both documents.

The release date for the admit card had earlier been listed as August 27 before NBEMS corrected the timeline and moved it up to August 24.

Candidates who face login issues or discrepancies in their hall ticket details have been advised to contact the NBEMS helpdesk well before the exam date rather than waiting until the last moment.

The reporting and admission period for candidates allotted seats in Round 1 of NEET UG counselling 2026 begins today, running through August 31.

The Medical Counselling Committee had declared the Round 1 seat allotment result on August 20, with a total of 29,945 candidates allotted MBBS and BDS seats across participating institutions.

Candidates who have been allotted a seat are required to report to their respective colleges within this window, submitting original documents and confirming their admission to secure their place.

The counselling process, conducted by the MCC for all-India quota seats and by respective states for state quota seats, follows the NEET UG entrance examination that determines eligibility for medical and dental admissions nationwide.

Candidates who do not report within the specified window risk forfeiting their allotted seat, which would then be released back into the pool for subsequent counselling rounds.

The MCC has said further rounds of counselling will follow after Round 1 reporting concludes, allowing candidates who did not receive a seat in the first round, or who wish to upgrade their allotment, another opportunity.

Medical education experts have noted that NEET UG remains one of India’s most competitive entrance examinations, with the number of applicants continuing to significantly outstrip the available seats each year.

Candidates have been advised to carry all required original documents, including their NEET scorecard, identity proof and category certificates where applicable, when reporting to their allotted institution.

NEET UG remains India’s single largest entrance examination by number of candidates, with lakhs of aspirants competing annually for a comparatively limited number of MBBS and BDS seats across the country.

The MCC conducts centralised counselling for all-India quota seats, deemed universities, central institutions and central pool quota seats, while individual states run separate counselling processes for their own state quota seats.

Seat allotment in NEET counselling is based on a combination of a candidate’s rank, category, and the choices they fill during the counselling process, with higher-ranked candidates given priority in each round.
