Doutedesk: Bridging the Gap Between Seekers and Professionals

Published

on

A Conversation with Nitish Singh, Former Founder of Doutedesk, In 2019, when Nitish Singh started Doutedesk, the landscape of seeking advice and solving doubts was vastly different. With platforms like ChatGPT and Gemini yet to make their mark, there was a significant gap in the market for instant, reliable professional advice. Doutedesk aimed to fill this void by connecting seekers with professionals instantly, providing a platform for one-on-one interactions via chat, video, and audio calls that addressed doubts and confusion directly.

The Early Days of Doutedesk

“Back in 2019, people had many doubts and confusion, but there were limited resources to get instant, accurate advice,” Nitish recalls. “We saw an opportunity to create a platform where users could connect with experts in real-time, getting their questions answered by professionals across various fields.”

Doutedesk quickly gained traction, becoming a go-to app for those seeking professional guidance. Whether it was career advice, academic help, or personal guidance, Doutedesk provided a seamless experience for users to connect with experts and get their queries resolved through chat, video, and audio calls.

The Advent of AI and Its Impact

However, the arrival of advanced AI technologies like ChatGPT and Gemini in recent years significantly altered the landscape. “With the introduction of AI, we saw a major shift,” Nitish explains. “Around 90 percent of people started solving their problems independently using AI. These AI tools provide very accurate answers, reducing the need for professional intervention.”

AI platforms empowered users to find solutions to their problems quickly and efficiently. The ability to access a vast repository of knowledge and get instant responses made AI an attractive alternative to traditional one-on-one consultations. This shift undoubtedly impacted the demand for professional advices.

The Closure of Doutedesk

However, the arrival of the COVID-19 pandemic brought unprecedented challenges. “COVID broke our backs,” Nitish explains. “The pandemic led to a cash crunch, and investors became wary of investing in new companies. This financial strain made it difficult to sustain the platform.”

Despite the initial success and positive reception, the economic impact of the pandemic forced many startups, including Doutedesk, to reevaluate their operations. “Recognizing this shift, I decided to close Doutedesk,” Nitish shares. “It was a tough decision, but the financial realities left us with no other choice.”

New Beginnings

Despite the closure of Doutedesk, Nitish remains optimistic and forward-thinking. He is currently working on a new project in a different area, aiming to leverage his experience and insights to create something impactful. “While the demand for one-on-one professional advice might not be growing as rapidly as before, there is still so much potential in other areas,” he says. “I am excited about my new venture and the opportunities it brings.”

Doutedesk’s journey reflects the dynamic nature of the tech industry and the impact of AI on traditional models of professional advice. As AI continues to evolve, platforms must innovate and adapt to stay relevant. Nitish Singh’s vision and commitment to addressing users’ needs will undoubtedly play a crucial role in shaping the future of his new project.

In an era where AI tools like ChatGPT and Gemini are at the forefront of problem-solving, the evolution of Nitish Singh’s career and his new venture will be an interesting journey to watch.
